THE OPPORTUNITY
Pointe is looking for a Market Research Senior Specialist to support our firm’s rapid growth by supporting our market research capabilities. At Pointe, expectations are high but empowering. You will have direct access to Pointe’s partners and key client decision-makers. WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Market Research Senior Specialist, you represent the engine of our Great People, Great Clients, and Great Work Mantra! You will join the team responsible for the primary research and data analytics that enable the delivery of Great Work to our exclusive list of Fortune 1,000 (Great) Clients. More specifically, you will:
- Provide primary research expertise to client engagement teams
- Design primary research including writing and reviewing surveys
- Execute research and develop insights from the research to provide practical, value-add feedback to client teams
- Recommend and describe research methods and techniques appropriate for projects including but not limited to usage and attitude, customer segmentation, customer experience, pricing, product development, and brand strategy
- Analyze large sets of market data using statistical tools and software
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights and strategies
- Coach consultants on primary research procedures
- Develop and sustain relationships with external research vendors
- Stay current on market research techniques
- Contribute to continued improvement of products and services, including Pointe’s ability to perform quality primary research
- Positively contribute to the dynamic, high-achieving atmosphere of the firm

- BA or BS required with focus on marketing, business, statistics, data science/analytics, mathematics, and/or a relevant field with clear track record of academic excellence
- Master’s degree in data science, data analytics, statistics, or related areas of study preferred
- Three to six years of professional experience in market research, preferably in a business, consulting, or professional services environment
- Expertise in quantitative research methodologies and knowledge in qualitative research
- Experience with data management and manipulation, including working with large datasets
- Proficiency with Python, including data analysis libraries such as Pandas and NumPy and visualization libraries such as Matplotlib and seaborn.
- Familiarity with market research skills including cross tabs, frequencies, correlations, regressions and practical understanding of conjoint/DCM, factor analysis, MaxDiff and Turf analyses, and predictive analytics
- Expert skill set in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel; strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau and/or PowerBI)
- Proven ability to help design and work with complex and comprehensive market research studies that leverage multiple data sources and clearly address business objectives and offer actionable recommendations
- Strong project management skills, including setting and meeting timelines, monitoring budgets, and managing vendor output
- Ability to consolidate data findings into concise, actionable, and easy-to-understand charts and/or presentations
- Finely tuned active listening skills, strong attention to detail, work ethic, and exceptional follow-through.
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
