Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing and recording Accounts Payable transactions; ensuring payments are accurate and in accordance with finance policies and procedures
- Assist with Accounts Receivable duties including invoice preparation and cash receipts processing
- Perform monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations, including review of credit card receipts
- Operate and maintain online banking using CashPro and perform bank deposits
- Assist with payroll administration tasks
- Responsible for obtaining and managing W9’s and Certificates of Insurance
- Assist in Government filings, such as preparing and submitting annual 1099 filings
- Perform physical inventory audits in conjunction with cycle counting
- Assist the Cost Accountant, VP of Finance, and CFO with day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the department
- May perform basic analysis of cost records, including actual versus standard costs and preparing reports of variances
- Prepare other reports and assists in special projects and analysis assigned by management
- Various other accounting and office tasks as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Experience in Manufacturing and/or Public Accounting preferred
- Proficiency in Windows environment with strong Excel skills; knowledge of accounting software (Plex a plus)
- Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter and able to work independently
- Willingness to work cooperatively with all levels of employees and management and with a hands-on approach to taking on various tasks as needed
- Must be able to work in an office setting
- While performing duties, you will be required to sit for long periods of time and use keyboards/computer mouse for most of the day.
- Frequent use of hands and wrists for typing and data entry as well as kneeling, crouching/stooping, walking, reaching overhead or below.
- Moving, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying objects up to 15lbs.
- Must be able to provide visual acuity
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily.
- Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor
- Travel occasionally out of state or country
