Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, striving for resolution.
- Utilize POS systems to manage waitlists and track guest seating preferences.
- Provide assistance to guests as needed, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and communication.
- Familiarity with hotel or hospitality settings is a plus.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Proficient phone etiquette and ability to assist guests over the phone effectively.
