Job Overview:

Polar Capital is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mutual Fund & ETF Internal Wholesaler to support a team of four external salespersons on a national basis. This role will involve collaborating with the external sales team in their respective territories, developing and maintaining relationships with financial advisors, and driving sales growth for our international equity mutual funds and ETFs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a deep understanding of financial products, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales Support: Work closely with four external wholesalers to support their sales efforts and drive AUM growth. Provide and maintain necessary support and territory management tools to help the external team drive growth.

  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Proactively identify new business opportunities through inbound and outbound calls, emails, and virtual meetings. Qualify prospects and help convert them into new client relationships for Polar products.


  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with RIAs, financial advisors, brokers, and clients as appropriate. Act as the first point of contact for inquiries, product support, and general sales-related requests.


  • Product Knowledge & Education: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s mutual fund offerings.


  • Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions. Provide relevant insights to the external sales team and assist in developing effective sales strategies.


  • Sales Presentations & Calls: Assist external wholesalers in preparing sales presentations and presentations to prospective clients. Participate in virtual calls and meetings, offering key information and product knowledge as needed.


  • Pipeline Management: Track and manage sales leads and opportunities through CRM tools. Help monitor the sales pipeline, ensuring that follow-ups, meetings, and client outreach are appropriately handled.


  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide high quality service to financial advisors, ensuring that all inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally. Handle account set-up, product issues, when necessary.


  • Collaboration with Marketing & Operations: Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to ensure the creation and distribution of relevant sales materials to support the sales team’s efforts and to ensure compliance with company policies.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


  • Experience: 2 years in a sales support or internal wholesaling role, preferably in the mutual fund or financial services industry. Experience supporting external wholesalers or financial advisors is highly preferred.


  • Licenses: Series 7 & 63 licenses (or the ability to obtain them within a specified time frame) required.


Skills:


Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Excellent organizational and time management abilities.


Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


In-depth understanding of mutual funds, investment products, and financial markets.


Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport.


Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Additional Information:


Travel Requirements: Some travel will be required for client and team meetings as well as attending conferences.


Office Based: This role is based in the office and only occasionally will remote working be possible
