Job Description
Located in Cerritos, California, Polaris Dental Lab is a dental laboratory that specializes in the manufacturing of high quality dental restorations using digital technology and master ceramist techniques. A dental ceramist is responsible for fabricating dental prosthesis. These prosthetics include veneers, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlay, onlay, and custom abutments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Job Responsibilities:
· The ability to create restorations from start to finish whether it is a PFM, Layered Zirconia, Monolithic Zirconia, and Porcelain Veneers.
· Full Mouth Implant Restorations (All on X)
· Ability to recreate gingiva using either porcelain or composite
· The ability to shape and contour prefabricated stock abutments.
· Ensure proper anatomy, margin, color, contacts, and occlusion are achieved.
· Review and approve the work of Waxers, Designers, and Model Workers, as directed, for a case’s production.
· Read, interpret, and design restorations according to Doctors’ prescription forms.
· Must be able to handle high levels pressure especially when meeting deadlines.
· Must have great critical thinking abilities in to solve problems and create solutions for complex cases.

Experience:
· 10 years working as a ceramist
· MDT or CDT preferred but not required.
· CAD/CAM knowledge but not necessary
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED required
