LOCATION:

I. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The CAD Admin supervises CAD programs and related programs for all phases of the piping design scope.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create and manage setup of all CADWorx/AutoCAD Plant 3D based projects
· Development of I-Configure and ISOGEN to create ISO styles to help manage and keep projects running efficiently
· Maintain and develop catalogs in accordance with applicable codes
· Create digital specs, build user-shapes and develop pipe support assemblies
· Manage CADworx/AutoCAD Plant 3D configuration files
· Address issue for building and editing digital models in a 3D environment and assisting the generation of 2D isometrics
· Manage file placement and drawing integrity with the use of standards and policies
· Provide technical support to project personnel regarding CAD applications
· Participate in technical workshops and training
· Participate in the development of standard practices and procedures utilized in client support and design development
· Under minimal supervision, exercise ingenuity and judgment to the development of solutions for complex problems
· Create and maintain CADworx/AutoCAD Plant 3D catalog components and specifications
· Administration of Autodesk Support files (Templates, Profiles, LSP, Pallets, etc)
· Create and manage AutoCAD productivity tools
· Organize legacy data to meet the needs of future projects
· Manage blocks for use within autocad programs
· Manage P&ID project setup in CADworx/AutoCAD Plant 3D ensuring alignment with project-specific requirements
· Lead creation, modification, and review of P&IDs, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards
· Collaborate with engineering teams to provide technical support for specific plant design projects in CADworx/AutoCAD Plant 3D
· Establish best practices for P&ID development and enforce standards within CADworx/AutoCAD Plant 3D
· Provide technical guidance to draftsmen, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to P&ID library development
· Provide periodic status reporting and participate in strategy planning for system improvements
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Seven years of AutoCAD experience is required
- Sr. Piping Designer has ten years of experience in piping design for Refining, Gas Processing, or LNG projects
- The individual should have mastered current piping design, drafting responsibilities, and software packages
- The candidate demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of design concepts and systems
- 8 years of progressive experience in plant layout, piping design, design modeling, and drafting as a Design Lead
- High School diploma required
- College or associate degree preferred
- Available for short-term travel
- Available to work overtime if necessary
- Be able to obtain and maintain TWIC and client facility entry requirements
V. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS:
Reports to the Piping Design Coordinator
VI. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift to 40 pounds at times
· Must be able to work in facilities, climbing ladder, stairs, and walking in warm temperatures
