We are looking for a driven full-time Medical Assistant/ Receptionist to join our team. The position is available immediately.
Responsibilities:
- The Medical Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for the daily operations of the office including:
- Escorting patients to exam rooms, interviewing them, and measuring their vital signs.
- Ensuring that reports of procedures and labs have been filed in patients’ electronic medical records before office visits.
- Documenting and Updating patient information as necessary in patients’ electronic charts.
- Filing and Managing Medical Records and Maintaining all logs and required checks.
- Taking telephone messages and providing feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians.
- Scheduling and Verifying patient appointments.
- Reviewing schedules for cancellations/No show appointments.
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the office, such as helping with the front desk when needed.
- Maintaining office rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies.
- Taking telephone messages and providing feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
- Filing and Managing Medical Records and Maintaining all logs and required checks.
This position is for one Receptionist in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Qualifications:
- Education
- High school diploma or higher.
- Good Computer skills.
- Microsoft Word documents or Google Docs
- Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- EMR (Highly Preferred) or any CRM
- Basic medical skills
- Taking vital signs (Blood pressure & ECG/EKG
- Certification & Licensures
- HIPPA training (Can be Obtained During Hiring)
- Additional skills required:
- Good communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Spanish language proficiency is highly preferred.
- Capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms
- Experience
- 1 to 3 years in a medical office.
