About the Position
As the Project Manager for Polaris Modular, you will guide a project from sales and pre-construction to certification of occupancy
Responsibilities:
Factory Project Management
- Assist sales team in collecting set team and transportation quotes.
- Lead Project Handoff Meetings from sales and pre-construction
- Lead regular client check-ins. Send photos of the project prior to the meetings.
- Manage the Change Order Process in a systematized way integrating in Production Manager, Procurement Manager, and Finance
- Manage RFI process
- Create and implement in-field installation plans
- Troubleshoot project obstacles with the team and communicate solutions.
- Attend & participate in weekly manufacturing meetings providing information on project statuses.
- Monitor and beat the job budgets for materials and labor
- Work with accounting to properly bill jobs
- Other tasks as assigned
Installation Project Management
- Visit future project sites to determine set viability
- Coordinate project schedules and completion requirements with on site contractors
- Regular updates to the plan will be made throughout the year with any material changes communicated to the team.
- The designated Project Manager will draft an Installation Plan for each project the company is responsible to install with a detailed timeline, scope of work, and budget.
- Backup contractors will be identified for risk mitigation.
- Backup transportation company to accommodate for possible delays
- The Project Manager will review any material changes to the plan with the COO
- The Project Manager will review and approve any contractor invoices, ensuring that it matches the contract, scope of work, and work satisfaction. They will provide the charges to Accounts Payable and COO for payment.
Skills and experience needed:
- Minimum of a 2- Year degree; 4 -Year degree is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in project management roles, preferably in construction
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use industry-specific software, Google and Microsoft Suite
- Construction knowledge and have the ability to read blueprints
- The ability to think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems
- High attention to detail
- Effective time management and logical decision making
- Capacity to handle pressure
- Strong work ethic and ability to handle peak work times
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
