Job Summary:
The Staging Technician is responsible for preparing the finished prescriptions as well as other light warehouse duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure all medication orders are scanned to tote in dispensing system and staged correctly for each delivery route
- Monitor workflow and ensure consistent product movement from pharmacy to delivery dispensing system
- Ensure all medication orders are neatly sorted and packed within delivery totes
- Preparation of refrigerated product going out for delivery to ensure product stability
- Prepare and stage delivery manifests and ancillary paperwork to correct delivery totes
- Accuracy review of delivery totes and medications to ensure completeness prior to sealing totes for handing to delivery personnel
- Prepare for next delivery route by setting up empty delivery totes and new delivery barcode labels applied
- Preparation of STAT deliveries for timely departure with interaction with delivery personnel
- Sorting returned signed delivery manifests and scanning into document imaging system
- Assist in preparation of emergency drug kit deliveries including tracking and expiration monitoring
- Ability to perform tasks under pressure and within a deadline driven environment
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk
- May be necessary to work extended hours as needed

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Long Term Care (LTC) experience preferred.
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice preferred not required.
Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
