Job Summary
Polipa is a distributor of an International plastic packaging manufacturer for the whole Americas market. We manufacture and serve packaging to many industries such as food, healthcare and chemicals.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and Logistics and Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing our import and domestic logistic needs, and ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and inventory control, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to meet organizational goals.
Duties
- Open to learn a business model from scratch from the current team
- Works within a company to support the customer requirements
- Excellent follow-up organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Working on Excel tables with co workers and clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with logistic suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of products.
- Manage the sourcing process for materials
- Manage the whole process of importing and shipping both domestically and internationally
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs and provide support in fulfilling those requirements.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved procurement practices.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status for management review.
Experience
- Proven experience in good communication skills that will be required for logistics and purchasing processes
- Purchasing will be from Turkiye, so Turkish language is a requirement
- Familiarity with Quickbooks software is preferred.
- Logistics experience is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in managing purchasing data.
- Detail oriented and hardworking
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are must.
- Computer skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to be able to quickly and accurately assess customer needs
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- 2 year or a 4 year degree is preferred
