Brief Description
**RECRUITING TO FILL ONE (1) POSITION CONSISTING OF EITHER A PERMIT SPECIALIST OR AN OFFICE SPECIALIST II**
ABOUT THE JOB
Provides complex and varied technical, secretarial and administrative assistance to the Community Development Department, which includes processing routine permits and maintaining and preparing records related to departmental activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or possession of the equivalent GED certificate. Three years of responsible administrative experience, preferably with six months experience within a Community Development, Planning or Building Inspection Department; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Our Community:
Polk County is located in the Willamette Valley just an hour from the Pacific Coast to the west and an hour from Portland to the north. The population is approximately 87,000 and the area spans about 744 square miles, with two thirds of the western part of the county being forest.
