Position Summary: This position will be responsible for the electrical drafting design work associated with CAPEX projects to facilitate equipment and plant facilities upgrades & documentation maintenance for process improvements and related company goals.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Creates detailed drafting & design of electrical process systems at any one of the Polyglass USA locations under direction from the perspective electrical project engineers
- Leads design review sessions with their customers to solicit feedback
- Reverse engineer electrical circuits (power and control) by tracing wiring and documenting findings
- Effectively translates detailed concepts from the perspective project engineering colleagues, moving them from concept to detailed engineering packages with direct oversite from the electrical project engineer. Upon detailed engineering completion, implements technical specifications, drawing sets
- Develops critical detailed electrical drafting & design associated with CAPEX projects in all facilities based upon project assignments. Additional responsibilities will be to support plant operations with electrical drafting assistance involving upgrades and process alterations at their perspective plant
- Performs calculations as required on electrical systems such as sizing wire gauge for loads, safety circuits, variable speed drives, PLC I/O and generating electrical BOM’s
- Conducts solicitation for quotes with various suppliers, which includes development of drawing packages, and RFQ documents to be used to receive estimates for said work
The knowledge, skills and experience you bring to our team:
- 2-5 years’ experience in Electrical Drafting / Design with successful execution track records on safety, quality, cost, and delivery expectations in an industrial manufacturing setting Experience in creating electrical designs of industrial controls, electrical schematics and cabinet layouts
- Ability to multi-task and be an effective member of project teams
- Proven experience using latest AutoCAD 2D Software
- Proven experience using an Electrical Multimeter
- Demonstrates proficient General PLC, VFD & industrial controls knowledge. PLC design experience would be preferred
- Ability to travel 25%
- ASEE degree or Drafting certification preferred
This position is located in Winter Haven, FL. We’re currently seeking local candidates or those willing to relocate. Relocation costs for the ideal candidate will be provided by Polyglass. We are not seeking remote work arrangements at this time.
Salary : $62,000 - $77,000
