Job Description:
Polyglass USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our team in Fernley, NV.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical tasks, including troubleshooting and repair, preventative maintenance, and coordinating with production and shipping departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily plant operations through effective troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
- Must be knowledgeable of industrial computerized controls, PLC's, VFD's, level sensors, limit switches, pressure switches, proximity sensors, photo-electric sensors, and IEC style contractors and starters.
- Adhere to the Polyglass Preventative Maintenance program.
- Maximize equipment reliability by effectively performing assigned work orders and PMs.
- Plan and schedule daily activities. Documents work completed including actions taken, conditions observed, root cause, preventative action recommendations and resources utilized including labor hours and parts.
- Interpret manual and computer-generated reports and suggests changes to improve the operability, reliability and safety of assets.
- Specify replacement parts and requisition required repair parts.
- Lead, train and coordinate all activities of Industrial Maintenance I & II as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Manage contractors (design, engineering, labor, construction) and/or lead other engineers and technicians as assigned.
- Coordinate operations with production, shipping, and other departments.
- Actively comply with and enforce all safety policies and procedures with direct reports and contractors. Take appropriate action to eliminate all unsafe acts or conditions.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, PLC, control systems, mechanical pneumatics, hydraulic equipment, and preventative maintenance programs is preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to accomplish work that requires knowledge to install new equipment or to modify an existing installation. Serve as a source of information about anything with regards to electricity.
- Ability to effectively diagnose, troubleshoot, and find resolution to all mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ability to step in during the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Electrical Certification (Journeyman, License, etc.) would be preferred.
