Position Overview:
Are you a problem solver who thrives on automation and efficiency? As an Automation Process Technician at POLYWOOD, you will be instrumental in enhancing our manufacturing processes through innovative automation solutions. Your role will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality, sustainable products efficiently and effectively.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain automation systems to improve efficiency and quality across production lines.
- Lead maintenance of machine systems, controls, and automation systems including troubleshooting Fanuc robotic code and other industrial machinery.
- Debug, optimize, and verify production processes in accordance with statistical controls, ensuring quality output and efficiency in operations.
- Manage and participate in projects focused on production process improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Provide support for start-up operations, including debugging and staff training.
- Monitor and refine production processes to gain efficiencies and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for troubleshooting, machine maintenance, and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 2 years in an Automation Technician role with a solid knowledge of production processes and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, understanding of manufacturing processes, and familiarity with lean concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair control systems including mechanical, electrical, robotic, pneumatic, and electronic components.
- Bonus points if you offer experience with vision systems (e.g., Fanuc iRVision, Cognex), PLC programming (Rockwell Automation, Fanuc), and CAD/CAM software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
