Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Conduct documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
- Utilize electronic health record systems for data entry and management.
- Assist with medical collections and verify insurance information.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- File and organize medical records, ensuring easy retrieval when needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to streamline patient services and improve workflow.
- Additional administrative tasks, as requested by management
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing practices and HIPAA compliance
