Quality Control Supervisor – Machine Shop
Pompano Precision Products, Inc is a busy ISO 9001:2015 certified precision machine shop, in business for over 50 years. W e are looking for a qualified Quality Control Supervisor to supervise quality control personnel and assist the Quality Manager. Applicant must have worked in a machine shop/job shop environment and be familiar with inspection of machined parts.
Applicant should ideally be proficient in all the following:
- B/P reading – GDT.
- Discern tolerances of /- .0001”
- Optical Comparator
- Test Indicator
- Surface Plate
- Drop Indicator
- .0001 Micrometer
- Surface Profilometer
- Bore Gages
- Thread Gaging (Internal/External)
- Rockwell Hardness tester
- Vision and Coordinate measuring machine (VMM/CMM)
- Microscope
- AQL’s
- Device Calibration
Duties will include:
- First Article inspection of machined parts
- In-process inspection of parts during production to maintain quality throughout the run
- Final Inspection of machined parts
Requirements:
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation and GD&T is a must.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate daily work flow with Quality Assurance Manager.
- Proficient at using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments, gages and inspection techniques.
- CMM and Calibration experience a plus.
- Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years mechanical inspection experience.
