Maintenance Safety
Development and Implementation
Wage Range: 70000.00 - 80000.00 per year
General Description of Benefits: The Maintenance/Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the maintenance and repair operations for the company's fleet and equipment. This role involves managing shop personnel, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Maintenance Safety
- Work in conjunction with PGSL Safety to maintain safety standards while performing any and all work from a maintenance aspect.
- Maintain facility shop to standards that meet all regulatory requirements as outlined by all applicable agencies to include but not limited to OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
- Develop PPE requirements for all mechanics while performing all repairs. Ensure all required PPE is ordered and maintained in PGSL inventory.
- Monitor all maintenance related supplies and ensure all supply orders are generated in advance before supplies run out.
- Develop reporting for all maintenance staff on any potential supply needs and requests.
Development and Implementation
- Develop ways to streamline maintenance process and procedures to facilitate effective repairs and maintenance of all PGS Equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance actions and development align with PGSL company standards as well as within all State and Federal regulations.
- Work in conjunction with Lead Mechanic to develop and solidify the training of all mechanics to standardize procedural repairs of all equipment.
- Develop material for delivery to maintenance team with applicable documented training acknowledgements.
- Standardize repair times for accountability on the effectiveness of each mechanic performing repairs.
- Constantly review the creation of Word Orders for accuracy with real time updates being entered by additional maintenance staff. Each work order must reference the applicable work order.
- Purchase Orders upon creation must be reviewed for accuracy with all information being entered. All Purchase Orders must reference the applicable invoice and Work Order.
- Monitor parts ordering to coincide with inventory within the PCS system so all parts can be properly tracked along with applicable costs.
- Develop methods of utilizing PCS to streamline and maintain inventory costs management regarding all parts inventory
- Work in conjunction to schedule and complete all required services as outlined in State and Federal Regulations. These services will include the following:
- Trailer and Trailer 90 day inspections. DOT inspections to be completed at 75 day mark but no later than the 90 day mark.
- Tractor PM (Preventative Maintenance) services are to be completed between 14,500 and 15,000 miles.
- Forklift Services to be completed every 90 days.
- Patrol / Security vehicle to have PM services completed every 5,000 miles.
- Develop action plans to ensure bay remains clean and orginized.
- Generate location maps and guidelines to structure where all items are to be stored and located with the maintenance bay. This will also help with section 4 of Inventory Management.
- Structure accountability for items being incorrectly stored.
