About The Position
We are searching for an experienced, Mid-level Fire Protection Engineering Professional to join our growing design team at any of the following Pond offices: Atlanta, GA – Headquarters; Atlanta, GA – Cobb; Atlanta, GA – Downtown; Augusta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Colorado Springs, CO; Columbia, SC; Honolulu, HI; Huntsville, AL; Jacksonville, FL; Mobile, AL; New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX; San Diego, CA; Savannah, GA; Tampa, FL. Remote/Hybrid options will be considered. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience with an EIT license, actively working towards a PE license in Fire Protection Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for leading Fire Protection Engineering design decisions related to suppression systems, fire alarm systems, and mass notification systems. You will assist with Life Safety design in collaboration with Architecture. You will perform design calculations, coordinate designs with other disciplines, attend project meetings, and work independently while managing tasks in accordance with company procedures. Additionally, you will be required to communicate with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- 2 years of related experience and/or training in Fire Protection Engineering.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) license required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet applications; Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM experience preferred (training available).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
- A strong desire to learn and grow professionally in the field of Fire Protection Engineering.
