About The Position
We are searching for a Mid-Level Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Services team in either one of the following Pond offices (Atlanta, GA; Augusta, GA; Savannah, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Tempa, FL; Port Orange, FL; Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; Huntsville, AL; Mobile, AL; New Orleans, LA) or as a Remote Employee. The ideal candidate possesses 3-5 years of related design engineering experience and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will lead fire protection engineering design and analysis projects, contribute to the design of fire protection systems for buildings, mentor junior-level engineering professionals, and collaborate under the guidance of seasoned Fire Protection engineering experts, while also supporting proposal efforts. Design projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to building systems design. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter and can move quickly and efficiently through a variety of design stages ranging from concept plans to construction documentation.

Experience And Qualifications
- BS in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar from an accredited college or university
- 3-5 years of related fire protection engineering design and/or analysis experience
- FPE/PE license preferred; EIT certification preferred with plans on obtaining PE or FPE license in near future
- Proficient with relevant software such as Revit, AutoCAD and BIM (SKM and/or ETAP experience is a plus)
- Experience mentoring and training employees
- Experience leading projects, supporting proposal efforts and interfacing with clients
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work
