Position Summary
Ponderay Garden Center (PGC) is looking for a dependable, reliable, and experienced equipment operator Monday and Tuesday's for our established seasonal business within the community. The ideal candidate must be familiar with and able to support our team with all aspects of the business required for daily operations. This includes operations of all onsite equipment, product organization, assisting in product displays, facility organization, shipping and receiving. As an equipment operator, you will be integral to the daily operations of the business while interfacing with the owners, management, all staff and customers. Compensation will be evaluated and based upon experience. Additional roles include but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Operate heavy machinery including front loader and forklifts.
- Customer loading and support in and out of equipment
- Shipping and receiving of products
- General facility maintenance and organization
- Daily Palette Management
- Reports directly to general management for necessary equipment supplies, maintenance or repairs.
- Ensure all in-stock products and site storage conditions and are kept clean and organized.
- Daily machinery and routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Routine cleaning for all equipment including interiors and exteriors
- Maintain and ensure efficient and safe work practices daily.
- Assist and support general managers, all PGC departments and operations on an as needed basis.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 year front loader and forklift experience. OSHA Forklift certification preferred, not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Lift 50lbs – 100lbs
- Outdoor work in variety of North Idaho weather conditions.
Job Schedule:
- Position needed to work Monday and Tuesday 8am-5pm

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
