Job Summary:
As a Leasing Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the leasing activities of residential and/or commercial properties. You lead a team of leasing consultants, ensuring optimal occupancy rates, effective marketing strategies, and exceptional customer service to prospective residents. You analyze and provide the latest market knowledge to Property Managers and upper-level management to ensure optimal market rates and pricing. Your role includes developing leasing plans, training leasing agents, ensuring compliance through applicant screening, lease documentation and the leasing process while also maintaining positive team relations to drive leasing success and achieve revenue goals.
Responsibilities:
Leasing Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement leasing strategies and plans to achieve occupancy goals and maximize rental income.
- Analyze market trends and competition to identify leasing opportunities, pricing strategies, and target demographics.
- Create marketing campaigns to attract prospective residents and increase property visibility.
Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a geographically dispersed team of leasing consultants, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Delegate leasing tasks and responsibilities, ensure leasing consultants are equipped to meet leasing targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development among leasing staff.
Ensure and Monitor State & Federal Compliance:
- Train all staff in Fair Housing.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory property signage, screening criteria implementation, lease documentation and process, etc.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on leasing performance, including occupancy rates, and leasing activity.
- Analyze leasing data and market feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Property Manager and Upper-level Management based on leasing analysis and market research.
- Prepare in-depth market comparison analysis in multiple markets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, real estate, or related field preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience in leasing management, property management, or real estate sales.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a geographically dispersed team.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Knowledge of leasing laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Yardi software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid real estate license or certification a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Pay: $120,000-$150,000 per year

Work Location: Position is remote but requires travel to various properties in different states. Candidates must reside in either New York (NY) or New Jersey (NJ) due to the nature of the role, which involves frequent travel to various properties within these states.
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
