Job Summary:
The Marketing Project Lead is a self-starter who works independently to oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing projects from inception to completion. This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that marketing campaigns are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate possesses strong project management skills, a solid understanding of marketing principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate must have experience in refining project management processes, quoting, making strategic recommendations, and managing customer-facing asset ordering systems and websites.
Responsibilities: The ideal candidate is responsible for and should be proficient in the following areas:
Project Planning & Communication : Develops detailed project plans - defining scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables for marketing initiatives. Acts as the primary point of contact for project updates, reporting progress to stakeholders and proactively addressing issues as they arise. Collaborates with internal teams (creative, digital, social, field, corporate, etc.) and external partners (customers, vendors, marketing agencies) to ensure alignment on project goals and execution.
Budget Management & Quoting : Monitors project budgets, ensuring that spending aligns with allocated resources and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. Manages the quoting process for internal and external resources to ensure that all necessary quotes and proposals are obtained in a timely manner to facilitate project execution.
Timeline & Risk Management : Establishes and manages project timelines to ensure that all milestones are met and that projects are delivered on schedule. Identifies potential risks to project success and develops mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Oversees creative team workload and fosters team accountability with daily project updates and work independently to audit project calendar in order to adjust project priorities regularly.
Quality Assurance, Proofing & Approvals : Reviews marketing materials and content to ensure they meet brand standards and project objectives. Develops and facilitates proofing process to include feedback from all stakeholders, track edits, and obtain approvals as required.
Asset Management : Organizes marketing materials and assets in an easy-to-use database and serves as account manager for deploying assets to internal and external teams as needed. Oversees customer-facing asset ordering systems and websites, ensuring they are user-friendly, up-to-date, and aligned with brand guidelines. Manages inventory and fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials to stakeholders.
Performance Tracking : Analyzes project performance metrics and provides insights for future marketing initiatives. Uses analytics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and recommend improvements.
Other Responsibilities : Performs other tasks to support the marketing department as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
3 years of experience in project management within a marketing environment
Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time and within budget
Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices, including digital marketing, content marketing, and branding
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment independently and with little supervision
Strategic problem solver that takes initiative to address challenges and proactively provides solutions to problems
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and across all channels
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project) and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
Experience managing internal and customer-facing systems or websites
In-person position with some travel required
