Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Warehouse team as a Returns Supervisor. The ideal candidate is committed to leading and directing a team that is responsible for processing returned products.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role managing hourly employees.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Prior experience working in a large warehouse environment.
- Solid familiarity with material and package handling.
- Proficient with Microsoft products, especially Excel.
- Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational skills and problem solving.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
- Proactive in approach and motivates others.
- Experience with swimming pools and pool products is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the return of products:
- Receive, open, and evaluates the condition of each product to determine if it should be returned to inventory, returned for vendor credit, repaired, or disposed of.
- When appropriate, enter information in Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), tag product, return to inventory, and process refund.
- Verify that all returned products are items sold by our Company.
- Re-box items when they are returned in damaged boxes.
- Communicate with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Inventory on disposition of returned products as it relates to warranties or customer and vendor refunds or credits.
- Locate parts for Customer Service requests when customers are missing parts or have received incorrect parts.
- Clean and organize the Returns area.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Physical Requirements. This position requires long periods of standing. Walking up and down stairs and within the Warehouse is necessary. Adaptable to working in cold an hot temperature . Position requires lifting and loading packages for up to 50lbs.
Supervise returns area staff:
- Direct, encourage, and promote teamwork.
- Plan for proper seasonal staffing.
- Assist with interviews, onboarding, and training.
- Share staff with other warehouse areas, as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.
- Ensure procedures are followed and productivity expectations are met.
- Train, coach, delegate to, and discipline staff in collaboration with the manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
