ABOUT THE ROLE:
- We are seeking a Collections Manager to take ownership of client accounts, reducing defaults and delinquencies while assisting underperforming customers. You'll be the primary point of contact for failed debits, payment plan adjustments, and customer retention strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, customer empathy, and a proactive approach to risk management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage accounts to minimize delinquencies and defaults
- Act as the main contact for failed debits and payment plan changes
- Analyze customer payment patterns and collaborate with Risk & Product teams to improve processes
- Handle complex cases and work to retain customers at risk of terminating contracts
- Document and report weekly on account status and payment failures
- Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture
- Maintain and update CRM tools with accurate account details
WHAT YOU BRING:
- At least 3 years of experience in Collections, Customer Success, Retention, Accounts Receivable, or Account Management
- Background in startup/fintech environments preferred
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with an ability to handle difficult conversations effectively
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with HubSpot or other CRM tools is a plus
