About the Position
Pope Soil & Water Conservation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conservation Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for coordinating comprehensive local water/watershed management planning and implementation efforts for the Chippewa River watershed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement conservation plans for the Chippewa River watershed
* Coordinate watershed-wide outreach and educational programming
* Collaborate with local government agencies and landowners to promote best management practices
* Provide educational workshops, field days, and other training opportunities for landowners and farmers
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in natural resources, soils, geology, agriculture, geography, planning, or related field
* Strong knowledge of geology, geography, and environmental resource management
* Experience with design and installation of conservation practices or similar work
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
