The preferred candidate will be an experienced Project Manager with a financial background and an interest in working in a dynamic and collaborative global design environment with a diverse range of public assembly building types, including the design of sports venues, convention centers, live entertainment venues, transportation facilities and much more!
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Project Manager will report to the direction of Operations and monitor the financial health of projects and our revenue forecasts. The role’s primary responsibility is to collaborate with Operations, Project Managers and Principals-In-Charge on the individual financial status and performance of projects in the Americas Region. This role will include reporting project Contractual Status, Earnings, Revenue Projections and Accounts Receivables. The Financial Project Manager will also assist with the preparation of quarterly revenue forecasts.

What Your Day Could Consist Of:
- Utilize and/or develop automated processes to solicit project related financial performance data from Project Managers and our project accounting systems and assemble into critical forecasting spreadsheets for use by Operations and Finance Directors and the Managing Director to track financial projections for the company.
- Working under Operations & Delivery leadership, collaborate with Project Managers and Project Accountants to understand significant changes in projects’ earned revenue and revenue forecasts.
- Monitor active projects that are not yet under contract and work with Project Managers to identify the necessary steps to reach contract.
- Prepare reports on a periodic basis to provide insight into the earnings of the project, the status of known financial risks and the financial performance of projects.
- Prepare monthly analysis of hours and costs reported against projects in comparison to planned hours and costs and the reconciliation of significant deviations of each with the Project Manager.
- Prepare reports on outstanding Accounts Receivable and work with Project Managers to identify status and what steps they have taken to rectify.
- Assist Director of Operations and Accounting Controller in the development of quarterly revenue forecasts. This will include working with Project Managers, Principals-In-Charge and Market Leaders to ensure all projects and pursuits are properly represented in the forecasts.
- Support the Project Managers in the use of Deltek tools and processes.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including effective time management, strategic planning, and prioritization.
- Demonstrate expertise in relationship-building, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (Power BI a plus).
- Understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing requirements, and budgets, with a keen interest in financial management.
- A basic understanding of Earned Value Management is a plus.
- Knowledge of Deltek and Deltek VantagePoint a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Business Management, Accounting and/or Finance.
- 7 years of Project Management, Controlling experience or a similar role in the A&E sector
- PMP certification or completion of equivalent project management coursework is a plus.
- Travel may be required.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
