Accounts Payable Representative

Position overview

The Accounts Payable Representative is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all bills, invoices, and other payable transactions are accurately processed and recorded. This role involves interacting with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate payment processing, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Roles & responsibilities

Invoice Processing:

• Receive, review, and verify invoices from vendors.
• Ensure all invoices are accurate and comply with company policies.
• Code invoices to the appropriate accounts and departments.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner.

Vendor Communication:

• Respond to inquiries from vendors regarding payment status or invoice issues.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
• Resolve any billing discrepancies or payment issues efficiently.

Other Duties as Assigned:

• Provide general administrative support to the finance department.
• Assist with other finance and accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in SAP is preferred as well as Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

• Capable of working in a hybrid environment with one mandatory in office day per month. May require overtime during busy periods, such as month-end or year-end.

Percentage of required travel: None

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 p.m.

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.

The salary range for this role is $26/hr-$31/hr. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
