Job Title: Dishwasher/ Food Prep
Location: Wahoo’s River Bar and Grill
Job Summary: Perform all cleaning, washing, and preparation duties required in kitchen. Assist cooks with all tasks necessary to ensure that kitchen operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
Assisting the Cooks with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.
Clean garbage cans. Store and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
Handles the salad station as directed by the kitchen managers.
Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
Stirring and heating soups and sauces.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Effective communication skills.
The ability to work in a team.
Organizational and time management skills.
