About us:
We are looking to add an outgoing, energetic and professional dental patient care coordinator to our team on a consistent, part-time basis at our Superior, WI location with the potential for full-time status. Port City Dental is a thriving private practice providing high-quality dental care to our Northland neighbors across 4 locations throughout the Twin Ports area.
Position Summary:
Dental patient care coordinators in our offices serve as the chief point of contact for our patients. This role requires a warm, outgoing personality with a patient first focus to create positive impacts on any patient coming into our office. Prioritizing welcoming patients in to our office warmly, you'll have other essential responsibilities such as:
- Ensure smooth patient flow daily by checking patients in, assisting patients with forms, entering patient demographics, and other care coordination tasks.
- Communicate with insurance companies to verify insurance eligibility and benefits accurately for patients.
- Provide unparalleled customer service to our patients; both existing and prospective on the phone.
- Support our clinical team by handling care coordination tasks such as sending referrals, scheduling a treatment plan, or performing patient follow-up comfort calls.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Fun, energetic, outgoing, and warm personality with a patient first focus.
- Strong communication skills and work-ethic with the willingness to pivot and multitask as needed to support our team.
- Ability to learn software, systems, and workflows efficiently and thoroughly.
- Dental administrative or insurance experience preferred, but not required. Any customer service related experience outside of healthcare is encouraged to apply.

- High school or equivalent (Required)

- Dental or Medical: 1 year (Preferred)
