Yacht Club Facilities Manager

PCYC Facilities Manager position requires relocation to on-premises home. Actual gross salary $45,000 - $55,000 plus fully subsidized 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home on the Portage River, utilities and small dock included ($20,000/year value).

The Port Clinton Yacht Club is seeking an experienced individual to perform general maintenance of the buildings, grounds, pool, and marina.

Education and Experience

• Successful work experience in facilities management and groundskeeping
• Successful work experience maintaining equipment.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to operate and maintain power equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools and other necessary tools to complete assigned work.
• Ability to lift up to eighty (80) pounds, climb scaffolds, ladders, and work in high areas such as roofs.
• Ability to organize and perform minor repairs; willingness to work with others.
• Demonstrates reliability, timeliness, and good attendance.
• Ability to make basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication repairs.
• Ability to maintain pool mechanicals, cleanliness, and chemical balance; training can be provided. Possess a Certified Pool Operator certificate or pass the online course within 30 days of hire.
• Possess a Safe Boater’s Certificate or pass the online course within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrates a Commitment to the Port Clinton Yacht Club and the members.
• Maintains all Yacht Club Grounds including grounds including lawns, landscaping, sprinkler systems, dock water system, plumbing, and lawn fertilizing and weed removal.
• Painting, staining, power washing, and cleaning as needed
• Maintains and repairs all grounds equipment, golf carts, mowers, and truck.
• Maintain the garages, pool areas, marina, other storage areas, beaches, and all other areas of the grounds in an orderly and clean manner.
• Maintain all buildings and property to promote safety, health, and comfort of members and employees.
• Directs part time employees and volunteers on daily duties and special projects.
• Help unload trucks; receive, check, and store supplies. Maintain supply inventories.
• Responsible for making sure restrooms and shower houses are clean, stocked, and maintained on a daily basis. Utilize the janitor, contractor, or self-perform these functions.
• Clean the exterior of the facilities of mayflies, bugs, leaves, etc. as appropriate.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, hazardous materials, etc.
• Winterize sprinkling system, marina water system, and north shore heads for winter. Prepare them for spring usage.
• Maintain boat docks and risers including winter and spring preparation.
• Remove snow by hand and with snowplow and apply salt to roadways and walkways as needed in winter months
• Assist General Manager and other employees with transient dockage.
• Complete reports and forms as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager, Rear Commodore, and Board.
• Be on call as needed for safety and security concerns
• Responsible for knowledge of Yacht Club and Board Policies.
• Attend monthly Board meetings as directed by Rear Commodore or General Manager
