Spa Attendant
General Position Summary:
Receives and gives direction to spa guests. Answers and directs telephone calls to the proper department(s) or answers questions. Schedules guests for spa treatments and makes personal contact for reminders. Maintains a thorough understanding of resort promotions as they relate to spa guests.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Provides a Clearly Superior Customer Service experience for all guests in keeping with the companys expectations (i.e., greets spa guests in a gracious manner)
- Responsible for maintaining detailed reports and correspondence (i.e., scheduling, birthday greetings, etc)
- Scheduling appointments for spa services
- Filing of sensitive guest information (personal & physical information relative to spa treatment)
- Develops a filing system to track information, including the use of the computer database
- Knowledge of spa service menu and able to answer client questions while customizing treatment options for clients
- Knowledge of spa retail items
- Promotes positive customer services
- Stocks towels, sheets, robes and other spa items
- Other duties deemed necessary
Specific Job Skills:
- Must be able to use the computer for the purposes of maintaining the reservation system
- Familiar with computer software
- Able to operate office machines (i.e. telephones, copy machine, adding machine, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete complicated tasks with a minimum of supervision or direction
- Ability to work with people, to handle stressful situations and make good decisions
- Ability to multi-task
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Some office or business training preferred. Four to five years of office and customer service experience preferred. Previous experience/education in the cosmetology field or spa industry.
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working in a spa setting with a computer, telephone, fax and other office equipment. Other conditions may include working in a busy front office and reception area with frequent interruptions and must be able to work weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Manual and finger dexterity for operation of computers and other office equipment. Sitting and standing for extended periods of time. May be required to lift 25 lb.
