Port Operations Supervisor

Company Overview

The Port of Beemac is a 24/7 operation, and we are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor. The facility in Leetsdale is an unheated/non-air-conditioned port. We offer a competitive incentive package, and we are looking for hardworking, quick-thinking, self-motivated people. Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical.

Job Duties

• Reading work orders and guiding our loading crews.
• Facilitate the labor crew on the loading and offloading of material to and from barges, trucks, cranes, railcars, and the yard.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Maintain and develop a safety culture among all team members.
• Follows the company’s and the client’s safety rules.
• Report on equipment safety deficiencies immediately.
• Understands maintenance.
• Maintain and use appropriate PPE when outside the office.
• Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and requirements.

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a flexible schedule.
• Customers’ requests will cause a change in immediate goals.
• Experience using MS Office software - Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Previous forklift experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Work in areas with full exposure to the elements year-round.
• Good customer service skills.
• Proven track record working cross-functionally.
• Ability to work well with all levels of team members with diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Must be able to work independently based on periodic guidance and direction.
• Must be able to perform tasks in a timely and safe manner.
