Job Summary:
As a cashier, you are the first and last point of contact for our customers greeting them with Aloha. Your primary role will be to provide outstanding customer service, accurately handle transactions, and ensure that the checkout experience is efficient and pleasant. Additionally, you’ll be cross trained in other tasks to support the team, such as stocking, bagging, and assisting with straightening the aisles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with Aloha and a helpful attitude.
- Accurately scan and process transactions, including handling cash, credit/debit cards, and coupons.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Restocking shelves, bagging groceries, and assisting with straightening aisles in other departments as needed.
- Lift and carry heavy objects, such as large grocery bags, boxes, bags of dog food or cases of water as required.
- Follow store policies, including maintaining safety and security standards.
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve issues with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable handling cash and operating a touch screen point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required – we will provide training for the right candidate!
