Duties
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of the provider's time.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and insurance information.
- Assist in the management of office supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care.
- Educate patients about treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care as needed.
- Handle billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance companies for claims processing.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in using office software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
