What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Dietary Manager- CDM position at Port Saint Lucie Rehabilitation and Healthcare?
We are currently recruiting a Certified Dietary Manager(must be certified) to work within our Healthcare facility and run the day-to-day operations of the Dietary Department.
The successfully hired candidate will perform the following Certified Dietary Manager Duties:
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards and resident satisfaction are properly adhered to and maintained.
- Assure safe receipt, storage and preparation of food, hire and manage food service employees.
- Prepare and maintain work schedules, motivate staff and maintain excellent employee relations.
- Provide nutrition consulting, participate in menu planning, control inventory, maintain food costs within budget.
- Perform food and supplies purchasing.
- Prepare cleaning schedules and maintain equipment to ensure food safety.
- Work cooperatively as part of an interdisciplinary team and maintain positive working relationships with facility staff, physicians, consultants, vendors, and other service providers.
- Perform other duties as needed or as assigned.
Certified Dietary Manager Experience Requirements:
- Valid CDM License and 3 years of experience in a hospital setting or long-term care environment, preferably a skilled nursing facility.
- Managerial/supervisory experience.
- Servsafe certification.
