Summary:

Portabella is a fast-growing fashion retailer with over 70 locations across the Northeast. We’re looking for a Retail Data Analyst to help us modernize and automate how we manage sales reporting, inventory movement, and replenishment across all stores.

Success in this role means reducing manual work, building automated reports, and delivering real-time insights that directly impact store performance and decision-making. If you're passionate about retail data, optimization, and technology, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain automated reports using data from Oracle POS and Excel-based inventory files
  • Build dashboards to track top-performing styles, store-level performance, vendor trends, and sell-through rates
  • Create transfer reports to help optimize inventory movement across stores
  • Support markdown strategies by identifying underperforming styles
  • Partner with the buying and merchandising teams to build smart replenishment models
  • Troubleshoot existing reports and improve data accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with store leadership, buyers, and operations teams

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analyst, retail analyst, or business intelligence role (fashion/footwear retail preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Working knowledge of SQL and comfort handling large retail datasets
  • Familiarity with Oracle Retail POS systems is a plus
  • Strong understanding of retail inventory flow, replenishment logic, and sales forecasting
  • Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Very good understanding of artificial intelligence tools and concepts as they relate to retail reporting and predictive inventory modeling
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
