What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Associate position at Portage Acquisitions Inc?
The Packaging Associate is responsible for the packaging and labeling of consumer packaged goods (CPG). This position will also help weight and process material into pre-packs and pre-rolls. The Packaging Associate 1, using batch records and other written instructions, will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team to count, split, label and package cannabis and cannabis products for distribution.
Essential Functions:
· Count, split, label and package for distribution.
· Verify external products that are brought into the processing facility meets internal specifications and communicating any discrepancies with management.
· Prepare product for pre-rolls by milling and segregation into production batches.
· Keep accurate written records and operational logs to ensure product is made and labeled according to regulatory specifications.
· Monitor daily inventory and notify members of management when supplies are getting low.
· Monitor adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for the facility's operations.
· Oversee maintenance of a clean and organized work environment.
Job Qualifications:
· High school diploma required.
· Two (2) plus years of experience in a manufacturing/production, laboratory or food service environment preferred.
Skills:
· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
· Effective time-management and ability to multi-task.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
· Self-driven and hard working.
· Demonstrate integrity and dedication and have a positive work attitude and strong work ethic.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. {Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs.}. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
