The Solutions Delivery team at Porter Airlines is leading the Commercial Growth Program with a focus on ensuring scalable customer experience strategies and solutions. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with the business, technology and front-line teams to identify, scope, and execute high-value, cross-functional projects.
The Project Manager reports directly to the Solutions Delivery Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage company-wide projects (technology or business) to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget and as per the scope expectations of internal stakeholders.
- Create and update detailed project plans by soliciting requirements and inputs from all stakeholders (internal/external)
- Direct and coordinate the activities of internal and vendor resources to ensure deliverables are met.
- Work with the technical and domain leads to manage sprints, identify risks and issues and potential solutions.
- Manage project communications/updates to key audiences.
- Support the implementation of project management best practices by maintaining project artifacts, archives and toolsets to be used within the Solutions Delivery team and throughout the organization.
- Handle multiple projects at any given time without compromising deadlines, budget or quality of work.
- Work with the business owners and stakeholders to obtain business rules and requirements, keep them updated and develop high value solutions.
- Understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy.
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelors or graduate degree in relevant field of study (e.g. business or engineering)
- PMP designation or working towards PMP
- 5 - 10 years of project management experience
- Experience in consulting, aviation or travel is an asset
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
- Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Google office suite, Smartsheet, Trello, JIRA
