Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team at Porter Corp. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for manufacturing and fabricating finished metal products according to blueprint specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products using specialized equipment.
- Follow blueprints to meet product specifications and ensure high-quality results.
- Calculate material measurements to verify specifications and prevent errors.
- Conduct quality control tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
- Assemble and weld structures, sub-assemblies, and other metal components.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all safety policies.
- Safely operate all equipment and machinery, including MIG welders.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve quality and quantity goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experienced or technical training as a structural welder with the ability to join, fabricate, and weld metal tube and pipe.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprint specifications, diagrams, and schematics.
- Able to recognize and perform to AWS standards.
