About the job:
We are looking to hire a full-time employee to handle the overall accounting, reporting, and operations for our GP entities. The ideal candidate should be motivated, organized, a team player, and capable of prioritizing and multitasking competing assignments in a fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the Assistant Controller of our GP Reporting team.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- This position will work closely with our third-party Fund administrators and internal Fund Controllers.
- Will be expected to understand complex fund structures and apply knowledge to the accounting and reporting for our 59 GP entities and for 100 GP members.
- Issue capital calls and distributions to GP members (as required)
- Track and record cash flows and performance for our GP entities.
- Maintain the underlying workpapers for our GP entities and prepare quarterly capital account statements for GP members.
- Support the Senior Controller in managing the carried interest allocation process and ultimate distribution to GP members.
- Support the Senior Controller in maintaining the carried interest vesting schedules.
- Work with third party lender that provides financing to GP members for individual stakes.
- Answer questions received directly from GP members about personal investments.
- Manage the reporting for strategic investors in accordance with the terms of our agreements.
- Assist in financial modeling and carry projections as well as other ad-hoc data analyses as required.
- Support CFO in maintaining controls and best practices.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Private equity experience (candidates without this experience will not be considered)
- Strong understanding of Fund accounting
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance

- Entrepreneurial mindset- must have the ability to manage workflow independently and not wait to be told what to do.
- Strong written skills - ability to write clear and detailed emails and memos.
- Clear verbal skills- demonstrated ability to convey discussions in an accurate manner and be assertive when required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- MBA/CFA/CPA designations considered a plus.
