Portland Bolt is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for the development of financial planning, reporting, analysis, modeling, and business decision support. The Analyst will interact extensively with Portland Bolt leadership and will report directly to the CFO.
Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities
Primary Business Partner for all budgeting/forecasting, managerial analysis and reporting, and monthly close and analysis for the company, including:

Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities
Primary Business Partner for all budgeting/forecasting, managerial analysis and reporting, and monthly close and analysis for the company, including:
- Ownership of the consolidated Monthly Operating Review package, including monthly variance analysis to plan over the full P&L and balance sheet
- Timely close and reporting procedures to support 3-day close and 5-day reporting
- Leading monthly site financial business reviews with MFG Leadership for both facilities (Portland, OR and North Augusta, SC), and SGA leadership
- Leading annual Budget activity for the Company
- Synthesizing financial data, CRM data, and pricing information to draw insights and actionable recommendations on pricing and margin profiles
- Analyzing job profitability in operations to assess work center and overall shop rates versus performance
- Build Excel-based models to support pricing, CapEx ROIs, margin estimates, manufacturing costs, and staffing plans.
- Developing long-term models to assess the financial performance of the Company, including full three-statement modeling that incorporates M&A, initiatives, and other key drivers for sensitivity analysis
- Ad-hoc projects (including Merger & Acquisition support and modeling)
- Consolidated Reporting, and Forecasting (balance sheet)
- Continuously reviewing and improving finance processes and procedures to achieve consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Five years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including budgeting, variance analytics, and monthly close processes
- Experience working with manufacturing operations, and sales and margin profitability
- Ability to effectively work with large sets of data
- Advanced financial modeling skills to develop analysis for various business scenarios using Excel
