Portland Community College’s Business & Entrepreneurship Pathway is seeking an Instructional Administrative Assistant III (IAA-III) to join our dynamic team.

Reporting to the Business & Entrepreneurship Program Dean, this position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, proactive, and highly organized administrative assistant to support daily operations of the Business & Entrepreneurship (B&E) programs spanning across PCC’s four main campuses and multiple Centers. This role is pivotal in assisting the program with a variety of complex administrative functions and tasks including administrative support, academic schedule preparation, personnel-related projects and tasks, special projects and events, responding to student inquiries, and problem-solving to assure quality of operations. The IAA-III will provide coordination and implementation of operational functions while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. The IAA-3 will be a resource for other administrative assistants, faculty, and student employees in the multi-program shared space and will assist with general office support, problem-solving, and conflict resolution concerning function of the space.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record demonstrating administrative expertise, exceptional organizational and time-management skills and successful experience independently managing a range of critical tasks and competing priorities, exercising substantial judgement, handling sensitive information with discretion, and facilitating smooth operations across various administrative functions.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding and/or ten-key functions.

The ASR contains current security and safety-related policy disclosure statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information and resources, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains crime statistics for Clery Act crimes which occurred on PCC properties for the last three calendar years. Paper copies of the ASR are available upon request at all Department of Public Safety offices.
Special Conditions for this position:
This position has been identified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). Campus Security Authorities must immediately report Clery Act crimes that occurred on Portland Community College’s Clery geography on the Crime Incident Report (CIRTrac™) located on the Department of Public Safety’s Clery Act compliance webpage. Following entry of a report on CIRTrac™ PCC’s Clery Specialist will (1) analyze the report for issuance of a timely warning or emergency notification; and (2) will determine if the report should be included in the annual statistical disclosures. The Clery Specialist shall annually assign CSAs online Clery Act training to ensure they are provided proper training to fulfill their reporting responsibilities required by the Clery Act and PCC’s Clery Act policy.
Salary : $58,180 - $59,923
