This is a grant funded position through Youth Development Oregon through 6/30/2025
We are looking for an individual who is student centered and passionate about working with young people to actualize their
educational goals. YES to College serves high school aged students (16-20) to achieve their GEDs, earn college credit, or enhance their English language skills. This role will work with students who are looking to re-engage in education, earn their GEDs with the potential to earn additional college credits upon completion of their GED. The students served will be those who are not currently part of our contracted school districts.
The College Success Coach is responsible for providing a broad range of services in support of students enrolled in YES to College. College Success Coaches initiate student contact to ensure student success within the YES to College program, provides GED placement advising, assists in registering for classes, provides career and vocational advising, admissions advising, and counsel on attendance and other issues. This position requires individuals to not only work with YES to College staff but also ABE faculty and other various resources at PCC. College Success Coaches researches and evaluates available community services in assisting students at removing barriers, and develops and implements recruitment and retention strategies. This position may facilitate or teach a College Success class. This position will be primarily based at PCC’s Rock Creek campus and may potentially offer services at OMIC training center (in the future). This position is primarily in person with some remote work (Monday - Thursday Onsite; Friday Remote). This is a temporary one year position that is grant funded.
This role will report to the Director of High School Programs (Gateway to College & YES to College) and will join a team of four other YES to College College Success Coaches.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
Master’s in Education, Counseling, Psychology (Counseling, Clinical, School, Applied, or Educational), Social Work, or Applied Behavioral Science Experience performing the duties of this job may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis- . Demonstrated experience working in an educational or social service environment (with 16-20 year old students). Demonstrated experience working with underserved and culturally diverse populations

- . Experience assessing student needs and coordinating educational and community based services

- . One or more years experience teaching and curriculum development in a college or high school
- . Bilingual in English/Spanish may be required depending on job assigned program.
