PGE Summer Intern – Extended Day Ahead Market Intern

To be eligible for PGE's Internship program, you must be at least 18 years old and have met one of the following criteria:

A high school senior that has enrolled in a college or trade school

A current college or trade school student who is returning to college or a trade school as a full-time student

A recent 2022-2023 college graduate

You must provide verification of your student status by submitting your college transcript (an unofficial one is acceptable) or letter of acceptance to a college or trade school with your online application. You will have the opportunity to upload your documents during the online application process.

This program represents a groundbreaking collaboration with the California ISO to optimize grid efficiency, bolster reliability, and support clean energy goals for millions of customers across the region. As part of this effort, you’ll dive into critical aspects of EDAM’s implementation, directly contributing to the technical readiness and training needed for this cutting-edge market integration.

You’ll work with experienced professionals across tracks like training, system integration, resource configuration, and operational readiness. From ensuring system simulations are seamless to crafting training programs for market operators, this internship offers a rare blend of technical problem-solving and innovative program development. Job Function

Technical Provides support in the areas of science, technology, and mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

Departmental Support May perform administrative, technical, or scientific tasks, such as collecting samples or completing spreadsheets, in support of department assigned. Research and Analysis May perform research and analysis under general supervision. May gather qualitative or quantitative data and develop reports or spreadsheets. Internship Program Events May participate in company-sponsored internship activities.

Education/Experience/Certifications

• Currently an actively enrolled graduate student (recent graduate accepted) in good standing and pursuing a graduate degree, preferably in a field related to internship; GPA of 2.5 or higher preferred.
• Some prior work experience preferred.
• Requires a valid drivers license and a history of safe driving practices.

Compensation Range:

$16.00 - $178,375.00

Actual total compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
