Serviceman AA

Beaver Plant

Rate of pay: $66.23/hour

The Beaver Plant will be conducting an outage for Unit 3 combustion turbine to conduct a major inspection and to install a combustion upgrade. Additionally, the steam turbine will take an outage to execute critical summer readiness items and prepare for follow on major inspection in 2026.

This is a limited duration position expected to last approximately two months.

Serviceman AA

Maintain plant equipment at a thermal electric generating plant, including coal yard equipment, mobile, and railroad rolling stock and machine shop equipment.

DUTIES: (Essential Job Responsibilities)

• Work to close tolerances and be able to rig and handle heavy equipment safely.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment.
• Work from prints, schematics, detailed instructions, and diagrams.
• Perform precision repair and maintenance work requiring the use of precision tools, machine tools, and hand tools.
• Fabricate special tools, fixtures and templates as required.
• Maintain records, such as daily work reports, preventive maintenance records, and equipment maintenance records.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required)

• Hold or have successfully held a position as a Serviceman AA, or
• Have completed an apprenticeship program consistent with the duties of a Serviceman AA; or
• Have three years’ demonstrated work experience at the Journeyman level consistent with the duties of a Serviceman AA.
• Pass or have passed the Serviceman AA qualifying exam.
  
  

During the probationary period following reassignment to any job, at least two progress reports will be completed. These reports will be discussed with the employee by his/her immediate supervisor, and copies of each will be given to him/her.

$66.23 - $66.23

Starting pay is listed in the job posting above. Salary range determined by the current collective bargaining agreement and may include step increases based on time in the position.
