POSITION OVERVIEW: High School Physical Science Teacher (Full Time, 1.0 FTE) - Deering High, 25-26 SY
We are seeking a full-time Physical Science Teacher in a 1-year-only position for the 2025-2026 School Year. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivery of instruction in science, daily lesson planning and preparation (to include laboratory investigations), participation in staff professional development, and collaboration with colleagues, at both the school and district level. This role also requires assessment of student performance in a proficiency-based system with grade reports at the end of each quarter. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of the connection between curriculum, instruction, and assessment and have knowledge and experience using proficiency practices.
To be considered for this position you must currently hold valid MDOE certification in physical science.
