Position: Photography Intern
Type: Part-Time Seasonal
Start Date: Early April
End Date: Mid-September
Compensation: $15.50/ hour
Hours: Approximately 5 hours per game
The Portland Sea Dogs are seeking highly motivated college students to serve as photography interns for the 2025 season. The internship is a part-time seasonal position, candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The intern(s) will contribute to the Sea Dogs’ photo archives for the season and work closely with the teams’ social media, creative services, marketing, and sales departments. Each intern will leave with a well-rounded portfolio and connections to both amateur and professional photographers in the industry.
Duties:
· Shooting game action, pre-game and in-game ceremonies, promotional & sponsorship obligations, candid photos, headshots, fan photos, and ballpark.
· Contribute content and ideas for social media postings on various platforms
· Edit, caption, tag, and properly archive and organize all photos
· Assist in organizing and filing historical photos
· Assist in creating team baseball card sets
· Add photos to MiLB archives
· Assist staff with various duties throughout the season
Qualifications:
· Some previous photography experience is required
· Basic camera operation skills
· Photoshop
· Familiarity with various social media platforms
· Must be available to work at least 75% of Sea Dogs’ home games.
