JOB SUMMARY
The Ecommerce and Marketplace Digital Content Specialist will support the drive for sales growth and contribute to the evolving Portwest eCommerce and Marketplace strategy. This role involves creating, managing, and implementing engaging digital content that enhances product listings and storefronts to drive sales on B2C and limited B2B platforms.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with marketing, graphics, and product management teams to deliver high-quality, persuasive content optimized for SEO and consumer engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop compelling product descriptions, titles, and bullet points tailored for B2C platforms like Amazon.com and select B2B platforms like Amazon Business.
- Collaborate with marketing and graphics teams to align content with broader marketing strategies and brand standards.
- Create and manage product content that drives conversions, including seasonal promotions and new product launches.
- Optimize content for SEO using best practices for keyword usage, meta descriptions, and tags.
- Conduct A/B testing on listings and iterate based on performance metrics.
- Monitor platform updates and trends to keep content strategies effective.
- Prepare regular performance reports and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with product managers to ensure accurate and persuasive content creation.
- Coordinate with graphic designers to complement textual content with visual assets.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a content-focused role within DTC, B2C, or B2B environments.
- Proven track record of delivering commercially successful content.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with content management systems, SEO tools, and digital analytics platforms (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout).
- Commercial awareness and understanding of consumer behavior online.
- Desirable: Proficiency in one or more of the following languages – French, German, Spanish, Italian.
- Relevant degree in Digital Marketing, Media Communications, Journalism, English Language, or related fields.
