Job Overview
The Project Superintendent is a key role within our team, responsible for overseeing the execution of projects from start to finish. This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safety: Ensure that all job sites meet OSHA standards, including cleanliness and compliance with safety protocols.
- Payroll and Equipment Reports: Accurately submit daily time sheets and equipment reports, with a preference for HeavyJob competency.
- Scheduling: Coordinate work with subcontractors, utilities, and project teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Planning: Secure site plans, plan work four weeks in advance, and meet regularly with project managers to review upcoming tasks.
- Supervision: Supervise foremen and ensure that all tasks are carried out effectively.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related field, with 3-5 years of experience in a superintendent role.
- Experience in heavy construction, excavation, piles, sewer, or waste plants; NYS DOT experience preferred.
- Capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possessing above-average interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with company, clients, and field personnel at all levels.
