Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Jr. Human Resources Generalist will support the Vice President of Human Resources and the Human Resources Department administratively with day-to-day operational needs and assist with talent acquisition items such as screening candidates, reviewing resumes, entry-level recruitment, and new hire onboarding. The Jr. HR Generalist will communicate with all levels of the organization on items such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits, training, company policies and processes, all while maintaining a high level of confidentiality through all aspects of the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition:• Recruiting and pre-employment duties include sorting/filing/and uploading resumes to ATS (iCIMS), screening candidates and scheduling interviews, processing background checks, conducting reference checks, and assisting with career fairs. o Aids with P. Park and Martins recruitment needs as required.o Send Postcard/Welcome to all New Hireso Create and distribute New Hire Announcements• Support the onboarding process including the administration of new hire paperwork and assisting with new hire orientations. • Assist by creating job descriptions, conducting initial candidate searches, and additional tasks as needed.
Benefits:• Maintains new hire benefits folders and assists with open enrollment period.• Maintains updates to benefit portal (PPI) and assists with billing reconciliation.• Provide administrative support for annual tasks including, but not limited to:o ACA (1095)o Total Compensation Statementso 5500 Filingo Medicare Part D notices
Employee Satisfaction/Engagement:• Coordinate Spot Awards Program. • Assist with quarterly newsletter and other communications. • Monitor employee satisfaction and promote programs to enhance engagement.• Assists with Young Professional and Wellness programs.
Summer Internship Program:• Assist with Summer Internship program by collecting & filing weekly intern summaries, organizing field day outings, and ensuring time sheets are submitted on a timely basis. • Assist with recruitment of Interns by attending college career fairs, screening candidates, and managing onboarding process.
General Administrative Tasks:
• Administration of Learning Management System (Bridge).• Manages credit card expenses and codes appropriately for the HR department. • DocuSign/Box and tracking of items including, but not limited to, Sexual Harassment, Performance Reviews, Conflict of Interest Disclosures, Employee Handbook, etc.• HR Audits (Employee Information Audit, W4, E-Verify/I9, Labor Laws).• Processing employee requests including Address Changes, W4 updates, PTO questions, etc. • Reception back up including lunch phone coverage, vacation coverage, mail sorting, FedEx processing, etc.• Additional administrative tasks include answering the phone, returning messages, scanning, copying, and filing.• Miscellaneous Payroll and Human Resources duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations or related field plus 2 years’ experience in Human Resources preferred. • HRCI-PHR / SHRM-CP preferred.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel.• Excellent organizational, verbal and communication skills.• Ability to multi-task, team orientated and self-motivated.• Ability to maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Compensation: $55,000 to $60,000 annually
